A visit from Kate: has anyone seen this?

From wikipedia: The movie is set in 2025, and centers around a sport called "Futuresport" (a combination of basketball, baseball and hockey that uses hoverboards and rollerblades) created as a non-lethal way to reduce gang warfare. Tre (Dean Cain) must save the world from Hawaiian Liberation Organization terrorists by winning in the game of futuresport.

I've seen it. Wesley is only in this jwan for 10 minutes despite being on the cover. His character's name is Obike Fixx and his jamaican accent is pitch perfect.

Did you know that FUTURESPORT was directed by Ernest "Ernie" Dickerson, director of other BMEs (best movies ever) JUICE and BONES?

He's also the cinematographer for every movie ever made by or about black people in america from 1980-Present except for Roll Bounce.

On the IMDB Pro message board for this movie, takeit2themaxine writes in the thread Soundtrack: "This soundtrack is EXACTLY the SAME music from Spyro the Dragon. I'm serious, esp in the beginhing where Vannessa Williams is talking. That music plays during Spyro. Anyone else agree?"

Dannylion: I'm watched it and I completely agree. The music is from Spyro. LOL! That's so funny."

Spyro the Dragon, a videogame developed for the sony playstation, tells the story of a headstrong dragon and his dragonfly friend, Sparx. The game was released in 1998, the same year as Futuresport...

yeah, same here. I was basically gonna say it was awesome in a kinda awesome way, but bad in bad ways too. just to toss it out there, but this movie isn't really about black people, or whatever. and also, Juice is the best movie ever, it's true.

strangely enough, I know Stewart Copeland from the Police did the Spyro the Dragon music because a demo of that game came with my playstation in the 7th grade and it had a bonus video with Copeland talking about how he came up with the music. After searching futuresport copeland, the mystery was solved, as he did the movie's soundtrack. WILD WILD WEB (WWW)!!
