the xx are 4 19 year olds from england who make real simple r&b influenced pop music and their album came out last week on youngturks. i havent heard the whole album but i did listen to this about 4 times on the train this morning.

my description of them is "ambient soul." They're far better live than they really have much right to be as there is little to no stage presence, so if this is of interest, i'd say check them out when they pop back to nyc in nov or dec.
